Our story

The Red Seal exam is supposed to be the gold standard for skilled-trade certification in Canada — and it is. But for most apprentices, prep means stitching together a patchwork of old textbooks, union study nights, and PDF screenshots passed around by the previous cohort.

We thought it could be better. So we sat down, mapped each workbook to the official Red Seal Occupational Standard, and started writing. Today we publish study materials for over 55 Red Seal trades, each one reviewed against the current National Occupational Analysis.

What we believe

• Trade-specific beats generic. A welder doesn't need the same study guide as a hairstylist. Every workbook is built block-by-block for one trade.
• The "why" matters more than the answer. Memorizing a question bank gets you through one exam. Understanding the reasoning gets you through your career.
• Affordable beats fancy. We keep our overhead low so a workbook costs less than a single shift.
• Made in Canada, for Canadian trades. Provincial code references, Canadian standards, and Canadian shop language.

Who writes these?

Every title is written by someone with hands-on experience in that trade and reviewed by a second set of eyes in the same field. We list our authors on the inside cover of every workbook — no anonymous content farms here.
