Terms and Conditions

1. Who We Are and Eligibility

Red Seal Ready is offered by 1001206169 ONTARIO CORP. ("we"). Contact details are in section 13. Our products are offered to residents of Canada outside Quebec; they are not offered to residents of Quebec, and a course purchase made with a Quebec billing address will be refunded instead of fulfilled. You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory, or have a parent or guardian's consent, to make a purchase.

2. Licence

When you buy a workbook, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own personal exam preparation. When you buy the online course, we grant you the same personal licence to use the course for your access period.

3. Restrictions

You may print the digital workbook for your own use. You may not copy, share, resell, upload, record, scrape, or distribute the workbook, the course, or its question banks, share your account, or use our materials for commercial training without a group licence from us.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

All workbooks, course content and website content are owned by 1001206169 ONTARIO CORP. and protected by copyright. Your purchase does not transfer any ownership interest.

5. Independent Resource

Red Seal Ready is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Red Seal Program, the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship, or any provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority. Red Seal is used only to identify the exam our materials help you prepare for. All questions in our materials are original practice questions, not actual exam questions. Exam details on this Site are provided for general information and may change; always confirm with your apprenticeship authority.

6. Workbook Purchases

Digital workbook: sold and delivered through Payhip. Because the PDF is delivered instantly, sales are final except where the file is defective or not delivered; contact us within 30 days and we will fix the problem, replace the file, or refund you. Paperback: printed, sold and shipped by Lulu under Lulu's own terms, shipping and returns policy; contact Lulu about damaged or missing orders.

7. Online Course Purchases

Price and taxes. The online course is sold for a one-time price in Canadian dollars. Prices shown on the website do not include sales tax. Applicable GST/HST, and any provincial sales tax, is calculated from your billing address and shown before you pay.

Access period. A purchase gives you access to the online course for 12 months from the date of payment. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and it does not renew automatically. Buying again before your access ends extends it by a further 12 months from your current end date.

Your account. Access is tied to the account you are signed in to when you buy. It is for your personal use only and may not be shared, transferred, or resold. We may suspend or close an account that is shared or used to copy content, after notice where reasonable. We will not do so without cause during a paid access period.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Red Seal Ready does not receive or store your full card details.

Refunds. Because the course is digital content that is available immediately after purchase, we do not offer refunds or credits for change of mind, partial use, or unused access time. Before buying, you can try the free demo, which includes one full topic in every unit and the opening questions of every practice set. This does not affect your right to a refund if the course is not delivered as described, if you cannot access it because of a problem on our side that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, or if we discontinue the course before your access period ends, in which case we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rated basis. You also keep any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.

Course content and availability. We may update, add to, or reorganize course content to keep it current. We aim for the course to be available at all times, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Exam fees. The course price does not include Red Seal exam, application, or apprenticeship fees, which are paid separately to your provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority.

8. No Guarantee of Results

We work hard to keep our materials accurate and current, but exam content and eligibility rules are set by the Red Seal Program and your apprenticeship authority and can change. We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam. To the extent permitted by law, we make no other warranties. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, including under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. This section does not apply where the law does not allow it.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the province or territory where you live.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version with its date, and for material changes affecting paid course access we will email you at least 30 days in advance. Changes do not apply to purchases made before the change unless you agree, and if you do not agree you may ask for a pro-rated refund of your unused access.

12. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and our materials.
